Health Inequalities Event
10th December 2008 City of Manchester StadiumThis event highlighted the early work of the Greater Manchester Health Commission and illustrated the commission's role in providing visible political leadership to support radical action to address health inequalities in Greater Manchester.
The event also provided an opportunity to consider how the GM Health Commission can work with the other Commissions being established in Greater Manchester as part of the City Region arrangements.
In particular the conference considered how to ensure that improving population health and reducing health inequalities is central to driving forward the quest for Greater Manchester to be a vibrant, prosperous and healthy conurbation.
